Digital TV must replace analogue TV

As part of the digital TV and radio plan set out in the recent ITU Regional Radiocommunications Conference in Geneva, Romania asked for frequency allocations for 8 digital TV multiplexes, reports.
Romania concluded its agreements in conjunction with bordering countries, Bulgaria and the Ukraine.
In the run up to the completion of the changeover from analogue to digital services over 300 new stations will have to be authorised.
