Czech mobile TV trial results

Richard Stonavsky (T-mobile), speaking at the recent CACC 2007 conference in Prague, released some of the findings of the six week mobile TV trial undertaken by T-mobile and Radiokomunikace late last year. It found that most people watched short programming, news, music and feature films. At least 50% of the participants used interactive applications, with most willing to pay CZK100 (€3.57) a month for the package of channels and twice as much for premium services. The most requested TV channels were the existing terrestrial services. Stonavsky also went on to say that the existing Czech Media Law needs to be amended in order to allow telecom operators to be allowed to distribute programming from other parties via mobile.
