Consultation opened on the Digital Dividend

The Austrian telecom regulator TKK has opened a consultation on future frequency assignments, including frequencies in the 800 MHz band called the Digital Dividend.
These will become available following the final analogue TV switch off on the 27th April, in the Carinthia region.
The consultation seeks to better understand operator interest in these frequencies and how they would make use of them. Submissions to the consultation can be made until March.
The intention is to auction these frequencies in late 2011 or early 2012.
