ASO delayed by a year

Hungary is about to put back its Analogue Switch Off date by at least a year from the original date of the 31st December 2011. The ASO may even be delayed until the 31st December 2014 reports Broadband TV News.
The government has acknowledged that the switch over process has slowed even though the MiniDig TV platform run by Antenna Hungária is already running.
The official length of the delay will be determined by a vote on amendments to the New Media Act related to digital switchover.
Broadband TV News also reports that both Romania and Bulgaria have decided to put back their ASO dates.
