Analogue Switch Off postponed

As reported previously there have been delays in setting up the new digital TV transmitters in Slovenia. This has caused the ASO date to be postponed from the 1st December 2010 until the 1st half of 2011.
In a press statement, Slovenian public broadcaster RTV Slovenija said that it is not to blame for the delay because the analogue switch-off is a national project in which other institutions are also taking part. It points out that by the 1st December digital TV signal will cover 93 % of the country, adding that in areas where DTT is available the ASO will be carried out gradually.
At present coverage is 90% and this should reach 95% by the end of the year.
