Analogue switch of continues


Following the switch-off of analogue services in Sardinia on the 1st March the Valle d’Aosta became the next region to follow when it completed the change over on the 16th April.
Over 600,000 people were affected in the city of Aosta and its 16 neighbouring municipalities.
The next regions to switch off analogue services will be the provinces of Trento and Bolzano, followed by Veneto, Tuscany and Sicily.
Figures attributed to Gfk set the number of Italian homes with DTT decoders at 5,006,867.
The goal of the Ministry of Communication is to equip 21 million Italian homes with digital boxes before complete analogue switch off in 2012.
