A H launches third DVB-T multiplex


Antenna Hungaria will launch its third DVB-T multiplex with 13 new channels on the 1st October 2011. This brings the total number of channels available on the DVB-T platform to 31.
The new MiniDig TV Extra family package will contain 13 blue-chip channels besides the present 7 free-to-air and 10 basic package programmes
During 2011 the MiniDig TV Extra package achieved the highest growth rate among the DTT services.
According to sales figures DVB-T (MPEG-4) households have reached 730,000 with MiniDig TV DTT users increasing by 75,000 in the first seven months of 2011.
The basic 7 TV and 4 Radio free to air DTT service was used by 250,000 households and the subscription based MiniDig TV Extra service offering an additional 11 channels was used by 37,000 households which is expected to rise to 50,000 by the end of 2011.
