90,000 mobile TV users claims 3 Austria

Mobile operator 3 Austria has said that it now has 90,000 regular users of its hybrid, cellular and national DVB-H transmitter network.
Broadband TV News quotes Berthold Thoma, 3 CEO as saying “Austria is definitely a pioneer in mobile TV in Europe,” and “If only countries such as France, Germany and Great Britain would adopt DVB-H technology, there would be more devices that support DVB-H available.”
Each of the countries three mobile operators has access to the DVB-H network for reselling and in addition, 3 has its own bouquet of channels via its UMTS network.
Mobile TV launched in Austria in June 2008.
