3 Italia DVB-H service reaches 600,000 subscribers

Italian mobile telephony operator 3 Italia has reached 600,000 subscribers for its mobile TV DVB-H service, which was launched in July 2006 during the soccer World Cup in Germany.
3 TV currently offers 12 mobile digital channels, including Sky Sport, Sky TG24, Sky Cinema, Sky Vivo, Rai Uno, Rai Due, Mediaset, Boing, La 3 Live, La 3 Sport, as well as six digital channels dedicated to soccer. The service content is protected by Nagravision’s  Nagra Mobile TV content protection solution.
