Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting 2018
The IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting is the premier forum for the presentation and exchange of technical advances in the rapidly converging areas of multimedia broadcasting, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and networking technologies.
IEEE BMSB 2018 will be organised by the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM) of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

DVB Head of Technology Peter Siebert is one of the keynote speakers for the symposium, with a talk titled “Standards and the Future of Broadcast Media Delivery”.
Synopsis: Over the last 25 years, standards developing organisations (SDOs) like DVB have provided the necessary specifications for the transition from analogue to digital TV. Analogue switch-off has happened in many parts of the world. Now, with HD and UHD being specified as well, what will be the future roadmap for broadcast media technology and how can SDOs provide the technology for next generation broadcast?
