Strong cross-industry participation in newly elected DVB Steering Board
At this week’s General Assembly in Geneva, the members of the DVB Project elected a new Steering Board for the 2025–2027 term. The newly formed SB brings together representatives from 36 companies across the full media value chain, underlining DVB’s continued role as a unique forum where all stakeholders work together to shape the future of the media distribution ecosystem.

Companies on the DVB Steering Board 2025–2027 are:
- Content providers / broadcasters: ARD, BBC, Rai, RTI (Mediaset), RTL, Sky, TF1, ZDF.
- Infrastructure providers: Arqiva, Broadpeak, BT, EI Towers, Elettronica Industriale, Eutelsat, SES, TDF, Telecom Italia.
- Manufacturers / software suppliers: ATEME, Dolby, Ericsson, HiSilicon, InterDigital, Kineton, LG, NERC-DTV, Nokia, Peng Cheng Laboratory, Qualcomm, Samsung, Sony, TP Vision, Vestel Elektronik, V-Nova.
- Governments / national regulatory bodies: Bayerischen Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM), Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur, Germany), Ofcom (UK).

The Steering Board is responsible for setting the overall policy direction of the DVB Project, guiding its coordination, priorities and management. It approves DVB specifications and forwards them for standardization by the appropriate international bodies.
The broad and balanced representation across all constituencies highlights DVB’s role as a truly collaborative forum where the value chain aligns on open, interoperable specifications that drive innovation and support open, competitive markets.
Workplan updated
The outgoing Steering Board held its final meeting ahead of the General Assembly, where it endorsed an updated version of the detailed DVB Workplan. The document outlines the ongoing activities of the Commercial Module and Technical Module, including expected timelines for the various work items.
