Destination Amsterdam for DVB World 2026!

The next edition of the DVB Project’s annual event that promises “conversations that matter on the future of media delivery” will take place in Amsterdam on 17 and 18 March 2026. It will once again be built around the unconference format, which has proved both popular and productive within the DVB community since it was first adopted in 2022.

The venue for DVB World 2026 will be the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre, located in the southeast of the city, with direct connections to both the central train station and the airport. Having most recently hosted the event in Munich and Brussels – each for two years in a row – the organizers have again opted for a well-connected hub city. And, of course, Amsterdam is a very familiar destination for the media industry thanks to the annual IBC exhibition and conference. (See you there!)

The Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre offers a modern space that is flexible enough to take DVB World’s combination of conference, unconference and exhibition

Open space

DVB World has been going from strength to strength since reinventing itself as a highly participative event in the wake of the COVID pandemic. The combination of a half-day conference with a full day of ‘open space’ for topics proposed by participants is greatly appreciated, with past attendees praising the mix of structured presentations and flexible unconference sessions. It’s a format that allows both depth and spontaneity, encouraging participation across a wide range of topics.

DVB’s leadership appreciates the annual gathering more than ever, as it now serves as a valuable source of inspiration for new work and activities for the organization. To mention just one example, the DVB-I Implementers Task Force was created as a result of discussions that took place in Munich last March – and there are many other examples of concrete outcomes from DVB World. Sponsorship packages for DVB World 2026, including for exhibitors, will be released in the coming weeks and registration will open before the end of the year.
