11th HbbTV Symposium & Awards

The 11th HbbTV Symposium and Awards, in Naples on 28-19 November 2023, will provide a platform to present and discuss the latest developments in the connected TV industry. It is a key annual industry summit, targeting platform operators, broadcasters, advertisers and adtechs, standards organizations and technology companies.

In 2023, the HbbTV Symposium will for the first time be split into a traditional conference format – with keynotes, presentations and round tables – on the first day, while the second day will be run as an unconference in which the participants will decide on the agenda, topics and discussions, actively shaping and driving the sessions and conclusions.

DVB topics

With Italy being at the forefront of DVB-I deployment and the location of the first commercial trial for DVB-I, it’s a topic that will figure strongly on the programme. The first day includes a set of presentations on DVB-I and HbbTV, followed by a roundtable discussion that will consider new distribution methods, including FAST channels and DVB-I.

The unconference day is also likely to include sessions focused on DVB solutions. Topics already proposed include DVB-I and DVB-TA.
