DVB at BES Expo India

DVB will be demonstrating and presenting the various benefits of DVB-T2 at the BES Expo in India in February 2011. The Broadcast Engineering Society of India’s (BES) annual International Conference and Exhibition on Terrestrial and Satellite Broadcasting will take place from February 24th to 26th in New Delhi, India. 

India has recently announced plans for a tender for DVB-T2 networks in most major cities across the country, making this potentially the world’s largest DVB-T2 community. With this positive decision and direction, the DVB Project will be supporting the broadcast industry in India with this choice. 

DVB will have a booth at the BES Expo exhibition with support from various DVB member companies to demonstrate a DVB-T2 transmission in action. Next to this technical demo, DVB Chairman Phil Laven will give the keynote presentation in the opening conference session on February 24th and there will be many DVB topics in other sessions as well. There will also be a special DVB session on the features, technical performance and economics of DVB-T2 on February 26th.
