DVB at BroadcastAsia 2010

May 20, 2010   DVB will again be present at the BroadcastAsia tradeshow at the Singapore Expo from June 15 to 18.   This year’s highlight will be a live DVB-T2 broadcast across the BroadcastAsia halls from the DVB stand itself. This demo shows a single multiplex of 4 programs that are being received in parallel on 4 commercially available DVB-T2 set-top boxes. Finally, it also shows the great variety and interoperability of available DVB-T2 products, only 6 months after the launch of the first DVB-T2 services.   If you would like to receive this DVB-T2 broadcast at BroadcastAsia 2010, please contact the DVB Project Office in advance.   Another important demo for the Asian region is the Emergency Warning System. This system is supported by all DVB transmission standards through the inherent DVB-SI (Service Information) standard. In this demo we demonstrate how a regular DVB-T transmission can be triggered by a DVB-SI signal to tune the set-top box to an emergency channel.   We look forward to welcoming you to our stand 7L3-05 at BroadcastAsia 2010!
