MHP Patent Pool Meeting at NCTA ’03

The DVB Project is fostering the formation of a patent pool for IPRs essential to the Multimedia Home Platform, the GEM specification and other DVB specifications. CableLabs has undertaken a parallel activity covering its OCAP specification.
During the NCTA in Chicago, our patent declaration coordinator, Alan Kasper, will hold a meeting for potential licensors and other interested parties. Here are the details:

The patent declaration coordinator will review the DVB’s process for fostering patent pools, his methodolgy for reviewing declarations, and the progress to date. Senior representatives of the DVB Project and CableLabs will also be present.
