2011 Analogue switch Off confirmed

The digital switchover plan published by the CTU (Cesky Telekomunikacni) has been approved by the Czech government. Although the plan calls for switchover by November 11th 2011, two regions, Zlínska and Jesenicka will continue analogue transmissions until June 2012. Commercial broadcast licences are still valid until 2016/17 and for the switchover is voluntary. To make an earlier switchover more attractive broadcasters will be offered a DTT broadcasting licence in compensation.
