Licence restoration brings launch date worry
Jiri Balvin, the head of the Asociace Digitalnich Televizi (ADT), has told the Czech press that he has no idea when the association’s six members will launch digital TV channels. The six operators, Ocko, Febio TV, RTA, Z1, TV Pohoda and TV Barrandov, found out earlier this week that the digital TV licences they were first awarded last year and then withdrawn, will be restored. A condition of the licences is that services must begin within a year once the existing legislation comes into effect on 1st January 2008.
