Leipzig gets local DTT network
Mugler AG has been commissioned by Bundesnetzagentur to build and maintain the technical infrastructure of a local DVB-T network in the city of Leipzig according to the media authority for the German state of Saxony (SLM).
Over the past year SLM has organized trials of low power broadcasting in Leipzig to see what would be required to launch a regular service.
Mugler AG will now build a network of five low power transmitters capable of covering 200,000 households in the city.
In December Leizpig will also see the launch of the Viseo+ platform with six channels from the RTL Group on a local DVB-T transmitter.
