DTT penetration reaches 90%

DTT services now reach 90% of the population according to the closing report of the German TV Platform, two years ahead of the official ASO date of end 2012.
At the end of 2008 over 16 million DVB-T receivers had been sold.
The platform is to start two new working groups, the first to look into further developments in DTT broadcasting and the second to work on a road map for the switch to digital broadcasting on cable and satellite services.
