Six new DTT multiplexes after ASO

A total of six new DTT multiplexes will become available after Italy completes its analogue switch off programme.
Licences for these new DTT slots are expected to come out for tender in June. Existing Italian media groups and broadcasters as well as foreign media groups such as Liberty Media, Virgin and RTL are expected to be interested in the licences.
The tender process will begin after the European Commission provides its approval on the draft regulations submitted to it by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
