8.4 Million exclusive DTT households


According to the May issue of DIGITA 8,393,000 households have at least one DTT receiver. (Data from Makno March 2009). In the overall number of DTT receivers in households reached 10,186,000 by the same time.
The total of DTT receivers sold since launch has also reached a new high of 13,923,000 by the end of March 2009. During the month of March, a total of 511,000 DTT receivers were sold, of which 362,000 (71%) were iDTV’s and 149,000 (29%) were set-top boxes.
Analogue TV is still watched by 42% of households. DTT is used by 31% of households followed by satellite, which is used by 27% of households
