DTT receiver sales reach 8.6 million
In May 310,000 DTT decoders were sold bring the total installed base to 8.6 million according to market researchers GfK.
Another survey from Makno’s “Monitor TV Digitale” gives slightly different figures estimating that there were 5,912,000 Italian DTT households at the end of May. The survey defines a DTT household as ‘those having at least one digital terrestrial receiver in the principal home’. The figure is an increase of 130,000 units since the April figures.
