Mediaset and Vodafone Italia join for mobile TV

Media company Mediaset and mobile operator Vodafone Italia have signed a DVB-H agreement to accelerate and boost the commercial rollout of mobile terrestrial digital TV using DVB-H in Italy.
Vodafone Italia has agreed to use Mediaset’s multiplex DVB-H capacity for a period of five years with an option for a further five years. Vodafone Italia will make its technology and broadcast infrastructure available to help complete the network rollout during 2006.
