Dutch cable operator launches DVB-T plug-in tuner
Dutch cable operator CAIW has started selling a DVB-T plug in tuner so that cable users can continue to receive channels after the switch of analogue services on the 10th October 2010.
The DVB-T unit plugs in the back of existing analogue sets, which have a SCART connector and allows users to receive the 21 most popular channels which are now coded on to the network using the DVB-T standard.
Numéricable, France’s largest cable operator has also started to distribute programmes in the DVB-T standard on its own cable network.
