KPN reaches 880,000 pay-DTT subscribers

According to figures in KPN’s latest financial report the company had 970,000 subscribers to its digital service at the end of 2009, up from 775,000 at the end of 2008. Of these 880,000 were pay-DTT subscribers (some DVB-H) and the remainder subscribed to IPTV service.
KPN claim a total TV market share of 13% and a 23% share of the digital TV market.
In a more recent announcement dated the 28th January 2010, KPN claim that their total digital TV subscriber base has now topped 1 million. No further break down of the figures has yet been given.
