TVP to launch HD DTT channels

Public broadcaster TVP has decided to launch an HD DTT versions of its two main channels TVP1 and TVP2 on the 1st June, 2012.
TVP1 HD will be distributed on the country’s first DTT multiplex (MUX-1) and TVP2 HD on the third (MUX-3).
According to TVP, the launch of the HD DTT versions of the channels will allow viewers to watch Euro 2012, which is being hosted jointly by Poland and Ukraine and starts on the 8th June, as well as the London Olympics from the 27th July until the 12th August, in the highest quality.
TVP already provides an HD channel named TVP HD in its service offering.
