Emitel expands DVB-T coverage

Polish terrestrial digital TV operator Emitel will increase the coverage of its DVB-T network from the 30th April. The operator will launch ten new transmitters in various regions across the country.
Five of the transmitters located at Bialogard, Czestochowa, Ilawa, Kalisz, Olsztyn and Swinoujscie will be used to increase the coverage of the countries 2nd DTT multiplex to around 46% of the population. Another four transmitters at Bialystok, Gorzow Wielkopolski, Lodz and Rzeszow will increase the reach of the 3rd multiplex to 24% of the population from the 27th April.
The second multiplex should reach 97% of the population by the 31st July and the third 45% by the 27th October.
