17 applications for DTT licences

A total of 17 broadcasters have applied for licences to operate services on the four slots still available on the DTT platform.
These broadcasters include 4fun.tv (4fun Media), Next HD (Astro), Entertainment TV ATM (ATM Group), CTV (Cable Television Networks), Eska TV (Eska TV belongs to the ZPR SA), TV Trwam (Lux Veritatis Foundation), Polish Cinema Nostalgia (Cinema Poland TV), Polo TV (Lemon Records), Tele 5 (Mediasat), RMF TV (Multimedia), Four Polish Radio (Polish Radio), U-TV (Stavka), Superstacja (Superstacja), Orange sport info (Polish Telecom), iTV (Telestar), Machina TV ( Point Group) and TVN Meteo (TVN).
The three other slots available on the multiplex have already been allocated to the public service broadcaster TVP and are called TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Regional.
In order to be eligible for the DTT licence, applicants must already hold a licence to operate on the satellite platform.
