Agreement for Multiplex 3 signed

The Polish public broadcaster TVP and national transmission company Emitel have signed an agreement for the launch of what will be the country’s third DTT multiplex, later this year.
The third multiplex will initially be launched on the 27th October in four voivoships (provinces) in central-eastern and north western Poland covering 58% of their populations.
In the second and third stages of the multiplexes roll-out coverage will increases by 20% and then 45% of other voivoships. By the 27th April 2014 coverage should have increased to 98% of the population. The multiplex is also expected to carry TVP’s HD service.
