Polish DTT gets moving
Quoted in Wirtualne Media, Witold Kolodziejski, the head of the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT), said that the long-awaited tender for the first DTT multiplex is likely to be announced this week, reports Broadband TV News.
The multiplex will mostly be reserved for existing analogue broadcasters and is likely be operated by a consortium of broadcasters with the signals transmitted by TP EmiTel.
KRRiT has allowed 45 days for the submission of applications with the whole licensing process expected to take three months.
A tender for the countries second multiplex is expected to be issued shortly after the first one is completed.
