DTT logo launched

Portugal Telecom (PT) has launched a logo to help consumers identify receivers suitable to receive transmissions from the Portuguese DTT platforms.
The logo, which is regulated by PT Innovation, identifies that receivers are suitable to receive DVB-T signals coded using MPEG-4, H.264. AVC compression and suitable for the market.
Free to air DTT services are planned to start on the 29th April initially on a single multiplex receivable by 20% of the population. Coverage will increase to 80% by the end of the year with five more multiplexes also being launched later in the year.
