DTT coverage 20% at start

At launch on the 29th April, Portugal’s DTT signals will cover 20% of the population according to Gil Moreira, coordinator of the countries TDT project, reports Rapid TV News. Coverage is expected to increase to 80% of the population by the end of the year.
It is expected that the lowest cost box able to access the new DTT signals will be on offer for around 50 euros during the launch phase.
