DTT tenders split in two parts


The Portuguese Government has announced that tenders for DTT operations are tobe split into two.
One will be for the management of the free-to-air channelsand the other for Pay-TV channels.The first tender will be for a platform to carry thefour national free-to-air channels RTP 1 and 2, SIC and TVI. It will beorganised by the telecom regulator Anacom because the channels have alreadybeen licensed, according to a government spokesman.The second tender will be for the award of a license for the management of abroadcast platform as well as another for the joint management of Pay-TVchannels.
