DTT launched in Slovakia

Towercom officially launched its DVB-T DTT platform on the 22nd December 2009. The new service is a single MPEG-2 multiplex and replaces the pilot transmissions which have been operating for more than five years. The service can be received by 80% of the population and offers the three public channels, SVT1, SVT2, SVT3, along with commercial channels JOJ and JOJ PLUS.
Towercom has plans to launch a further two multiplexes in 2010.
