TVE makes first nationwide 3DTV tests

Spanish national public broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) made its first 3DTV test transmissions on a nationwide level on the 1st August.
The test transmission was planned to start with a music concert broadcast without encryption and viewers needed to use 3D glasses. As well as having a 3DTV test channel the public broadcaster is also testing some ‘Connected TV’ services and is planning to launch a multi-channel television project.
