DTT penetration 83.6%

In Spain DTT penetration has now reached 83.6% according to the March Impulsa TDT newsletter and the DTT viewing audience share has reached 59.7%.
Aragon and Balneares have the highest DTT penetration at 88.9% and 88.8% respectively closely followed by Catalunya at 88.3%.
In total since the re-launch of DTT in 2005, 27.2 million DTT receivers have been sold.
From Feb09 to Jan10 10.8 million DTT receivers were sold with sales of 1.6 million in January10 alone.
DTT coverage has reached 98.5% for the public service multiplex from RTVE and 97.7% for the four multiplexes allocated to commercial broadcasters.
Analogue switch of is planned for completion on the 30th March although some sources say that this might slip until the 2nd April.
