DTT STB sales increase

Figures from GfK show that the number of DTT STB’s sold in Spain increased by 13% in June compared with the previous month.
During the same period the sales of IDTV’s fell by 19%.
This fall in sales was mirrored by the sales of computers (down 30%) and DVD players with integrated DTT tuners, down 11%.
The current economic situation is given as the main reason for the sales downturn , however the continued growth of DTT STB sales shows that the DTT market is still very buoyant, despite the downturn.
