Funding allocated for Digital Switch Over

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has said that it will allocate €75 million to digital switchover as part of its Plan Avanza2, reports Rapid TV News.
The funding will be used to prepare viewers in 18 regions and cities for the switch over.
The Plan Avanza2 includes the provision of local information, the preparation of contingency plans and the extension of DTT coverage.
Additional funding of €8.25 million has also been allocated to extend coverage in areas planned for digital switchover in June.
