Turkey Selects DVB-T2
The authority on the digital terrestrial switchover – RTÜK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) has decided that the transition will begin in 2013, with digital and analog broadcasts continuing simultaneously until 2015. In 2015, the analog switch off will take place and DVB-T2 has been accepted as the standard for digital terrestrial broadcasts in Turkey.
An encompassing Digital Terrestrial Conference on this topic will take place on 1-3 November 2012 in Istanbul as a part of the ITVF (Istanbul Television Forum and Festival). ITVF is an event conducted by RATEM (Professional Union of Broadcasting Organizations). The event will take place at the Istanbul Haliç Conference Center to develop further cooperation and communication.
