Sony joins other CE vendors on tru2way
Last Tuesday saw the announcement that Sony has now joined five other major CE vendors – Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Toshiba and Thomson – in signing the license agreement for the US cable industry’s tru2way specification. The specification, which is part of the GEM family and was previously known as OCAP, is set to become a de facto national standard, with the aforementioned manufacturers in agreement with the six major cable operators in the country.
