Six new DVB Members confirmed


While February saw the announcement of MediaKind as DVB’s first new Member of 2019, we’re pleased to announce a further six new Members have now been confirmed. They are Digital UK, EASii IC, Mytech, netgem.tv, Synamedia and WideNorth.

Digital UK

Digital UK leads the development of Freeview, the UK’s most widely used television platform. Its latest innovation is Freeview Play which brings terrestrial TV, catch-up and on-demand together in a new generation of televisions and set-top boxes, making it easier than ever for viewers to watch what they want, when they want. Digital UK is owned by Arqiva, the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV.

EASii IC

EASii IC is an ASIC design house, an electronic design centre and a service company in microelectronic, electronic and embedded software. Headquartered in Grenoble, France, the company conducts research programmes together with its industrial partners.

Mytech

Mytech International Co., Ltd., which markets its products under the brand MYWELL, was established in 2018 in Macau. It provides DVB-based products and solutions to worldwide pay-TV customers, covering DVB-S2, DVB-C and DVB-T2. (It does not currently have a website.)

netgem.tv

The product portfolio of netgem.tv brings together smart devices and content. For example, in the UK netgem.tv offers Freeview live TV, catch-up shows and premium on-demand content combined in a single box. netgem.tv is also launching a personalized TV experience via a sophisticated mobile app – supporting recommendations, live and recording viewing, and the most popular on-demand content. Netgem is listed on NYSE Euronext Paris.

Synamedia

Synamedia helps service providers around the globe to deliver, protect and monetize video content. It offers a complete, secure, and advanced end-to-end open video delivery solution, working with over 200 top satellite DTH, cable, telco, and OTT operators, broadcasters, and media companies.

WideNorth

Based in Norway, WideNorth is a research and technology company founded in 2014 by engineers with a background in product development for the VSAT market (terminals and hubs compliant with DVB-S/S2/S2X and/or DVB-RCS/RCS2) and for the Inmarsat system. WideNorth is an SME owned by its employees, with 12 engineers currently employed. It is currently developing a high end DVB-S2X compatible wide-band satellite modem, and is as well offering design services (R&D)
