Wherever the DVB logo is used in relation to a product - be it a broadcast, a service, an application or equipment – and thus implies compliance of that product with DVB standards, the product must be registered with the DVB Project Office by means of a Declaration of Conformity. The procedures are simple and currently free of charge. It should be noted that there is no obligation to use the DVB logo on a product that complies to one or more DVB standards and DVB standards can be obtained free of charge directly from ETSI.

Use of the MHP logo in relation to a product is restricted to those products which have successfully completed the MHP Test Suite and have fulfilled all stipulations of the MHP Mark License Agreement. For more information on this topic can be found on the MHP website.

Every DVB broadcast is identified in one way or another by a set of unique “identifiers”. These range from network_ids which are used to identify satellite, cable or terrestrial networks, through to MHP_Organisation_IDs which uniquely identify organisations developing and delivering MHP applications.
