Bermuda WOW offers DVB-T service to Bermuda The World in Wireless Ltd. better known as WOW is offering a bouquet of TV channels over its DVB-T network in Bermuda, to rival local cable services. WOW says that one of the benefits of its offering is the ease by which service can be resumed after a hurricane. Not only do WOW propose to temporarily dismantle there transmit antennas before a hurricane but will also replace the simple receiving Yagi used by customers if they become damaged. This is contrasted with local cable system, using overhead cabling, which is much more difficult to repair after major wind damage.
